Helping Students fall in love with Math & Physics

What I do

  • I teach Math and Physics for senior secondary (9th grade to 12th grade) students.
  • I help students become better at visualising math and pattern recognition.
  • I improve their ability to question any and all implicit or explicit assumptions. It helps them become better critical thinkers.
  • I mentor students regarding improving their soft skills and study skills.

My values

My values that I always strive hard to reach are

Care Deeply

Serve Selflessly

Inspire Profoundly

My moonshot

My moonshot is to create a society in which the primary reason for education shifts from the current paradigm of security (good education = good job = good security) to a new paradigm of freedom (good education = better choices = better freedom.)

In order to achieve this paradigm shift, we need to change the mindset of parents from that of carpenters to gardeners. A carpenter (just like today’s typical parent) wants to make every stool perfect so that it would be bought more easily. A gardener on the other hand just lets the plant grow wile removing any impediments to its growth.

Every child has within him or her potential for greatness. And we may or may not recognise it. With the resources available to me, I want to create a world where we gently guide the next generation become the best version of 'themselves' instead of carbon copies of what we have in our mind.

Just imagine how beautiful that world would be....

And it would be even more beautiful if we can work together to make that world a reality for the generations that follow us.

My mission (right now)

By the end of 2025, my intention is to create a comprehensive math course that covers almost all secondary syllabus (Grade 6 - Grade 12).

If I reach my goal, then even a 6th grade student should be able to grasp (may not apply the knowledge but it is ok) the fundamental concepts of everything from Pre-Algebra to Calculus.

See, right now, the entire discussion around Math and Science is shame based. If a student gets 90 in English, the focus is firmly on the marks scored. But if they get 90 in Math, unfortunately the focus shifts to the 10 marks 'lost'. So, the students are under a lot of pressure to earn the recognition of their peers and parents.

My aim through the course is to reduce this pressure and convince each and every student successfully that math is the most interesting, if not the easiest subject to master.

My Book

This book is for students who have just finished 12th grade and are entering the university.

Our school system focuses almost exclusively on hard skills rather than soft skills. This is my attempt to get the students to see that when they already have good hard skills, they can exponentially improve their influence with better soft skills.
